Our client had already converted the garage area into a useable space and wanted to ensure the area was watertight and secure. As an added extra, it was agreed to utilise the roof as an extra outdoor space.
This roof is made up of a three-layer, bitumen based flat roofing system with added artificial turf tiles for functionality. This roof is guaranteed by us for 20 years and comes with an insurance backed guarantee.

Re-Roof
- Interlocking Concrete Tiles.
Our customer wanted to change the original roof from an old, interlocking, concrete tile to new. The previous tiling felt underneath had a bitumen base, meaning that no air could circulate in the loft space. These tiles were chosen to help their home fit in with the surrounding properties and are available in several colours. A new, breathable, tiling felt was installed which will help with avoiding potential condensation and damp. This roof also comes with a dry ridge system and dry gable end and will have an insurance backed guarantee of 20 years.
Garage Extension Flat Roof Renewal
- A cost effective way to manage more than one section.
This roof was allowing water ingress into the property and the customer decided to renew with a guarantee, rather than repair. The garage section wasn't a habitable space so this was replaced with a three layer, bitumen based, cold deck roof system. The extension section was replaced with a four layer, warm deck roofing system, allowing increased insulation for the winter and summer months. This was a cost effective measure of ensuring the right system was installed for our customer's needs.
Large Conservation Project
- A dramatic re-roof ensuring the safety of local and protected wildlife.
During the re-roof of this conservation project, an ecology survey located various species of bats present in the roof area. This meant that during the re-roofing works, an ecology team had to be present on site to relocate the bats.
The existing slates were of a good quality, with any broken or missing slates replaced with a like-for-like item and specially-made bat vents were installed, as legally required. Extensive mortar work was undertaken, plus the installation of a bat-friendly tiling felt. All of this ensured that the 'weathered' look remained and kept the property in keeping with a building of its age, whilst still allowing the wildlife to remain protected.
